Pat Blaine teaches American Literature and Composition
courses at West Kentucky Technical and Community College in Paducah.
She has taught at the college since 1987, following a nine year tenure
in secondary education. Pat has been at the forefront of teaching distance
education in Kentucky; she began teaching American Literature online
in 1992 through a dedicated computer and an electronic bulletin board
software. My how technology has changed!
Pat has a BS degree in Psychology and in English, a Masters degree in
English, and is a doctoral candidate in Higher Education at the University
of Kentucky. Her dissertation topic examines the changing faculty role
in distance education.
Pat is also active in her professional organization, Two Year College
(English) Association, Southeast, where she has just concluded a 12
year service on the Regional Executive Board and a 3 year term as the
organization's Chair. She is past President of the American Association
of University Women, Paducah Branch. Pat is a full professor in the
Humanitie's Division at Paducah.
